In 1976 the church voted to allow a secretary 12 hours a week at $2.00 an hour. Needless to say a lot of volunteer secretary work was done at that time.
I have been working part time in the church office since then. We have gone from typing the bulletin, annual report, newsletter on a stencil to computers. We started with a hand-turned mimeograph to a very modern copy machine.
Janet Wallman
Secretary
In September of 2002 Janet Wallman joined the staff, also as a part-time secretary. We type the weekly bulletin, record communion records, as well as baptism, funeral, confirmation records, order supplies, etc. We also do a monthly newsletter, annual report and a directory each year with all members’ names and addresses along with schedules of all organizations for the year.
